This wheelset is in really epic shape. They came from a early 90's MTN TEK. 100 front and 130 rear spacing. Complete with new Kenda Cross tires and a 13-30 7 speed cassette. Offering on the board first - thought someone might have an older Fat these would work on. $50 plus actual shipping...
it has been a long time since i rode a full ridged bike. for those that ride ridged bikes what tire pressures are you running? i recently rode my ridged Buckshaver and my hands were in a little pain later that day. i suspect that the tires were a litte too aired up.
thanks as always,
Sette
just picked up a beautiful Buckshaver - but it is without the toothpick anti chain suck parts. if you have a spare set shoot me an e-mail.
thanks,
Sette
sort of interesting. found this bike in LA. mother built it up for a road oriented father. sat in the garage. parents retired and moved so the daughter takes over. living in LA with no trials the daughter wanted it gone. apartment is to small ;-)

my wifes Buchshaver i thought was in...
well origingally this bike was pretty bastardized. thankfully the board members set me straight and gave great advice on how to bring this bike back to "periodish" spec.

as of now we have gone back to full Shimano Deore DX Rapid Fire 7 speed. as seen in the photos the rear cassette is a 7...
looking for a med/large (17/18ish) Yo or Buckshaver frame. must be excellent structurally - no dents, dings, rust or frozen seat posts. not concerned with color.

thanks in advance,
Sette
recently picked this up. all original right down to the tires. it has been a long time since i rode a full ridged bike. on nice single track the handling is really quite impressive. but you gotta love the full 90's lime green splatter.

my Buckshaver resto is pretty much complete. will...
looking for a nice retro set of cantilever brakes. lately everything that i have bought off of ebay arrives broken or incomplete. i have just about finished the wife's Buckshaver project and would like to top it off with a nice canti brake set. please let me know what you have.

i am parting out the water logged Salsa to recoup the loss.
Ritchey Red SPD Pedals - used (see pics) functional. i think these are Ti spindle pedals but cannot be sure. one spins excellent. the other will need to be lubed. circa 1995. nice wide platform for the ride around town too...
gotta major hosing on e-bay. bike arrived and still had water sloshing in the down tube. just totally devastated. where there is water in a steel frame - there is rust! does anyone have a solution? this weekend i was going to blow it out with an air hose. other than that?
thanks in...
anyone have a source for Fat Chance stickers that i put on the car? i know there is a lot of talk about the decals for the bikes. but i wonder if anyone is making just a vinal diecut?
Ciao,
Sette

What is with the "lagunacoupe" on eBay gobbling up all the Fat stuff????? the prices are skyrocketing. the Fat TI, $800+ for a Cook stem? it is a free market - but it bums me out when the cool retro stuff starts getting into the stratospheric price range.

if "lagunacoupe" is on this...
super nice bike. bought this so my wife would not ride her Buckshaver (to nice). anyways she did not like the color? just tuned up at the beginning of June.
the front rim was trued - but there is still a bit of a hip in it. when i arrived at the LBS we thought the wheel might be a write off -...
my Buckshaver is listed as Lime Green on the First Flight web site. however in looking through the registry i noticed that many bikes (1993) look to be the same color and are listed as Grello.
Let me know,
Sette
can someone forward the Buckshaver seatpost ID? the bike i have has Rock Shox suspension seatpost and it has to go.
