I suppose many here have gone down this road before..
92 wicked, Original owner,
I bought a new set of wheels from Settemarche (white ti) and am going to try and put my old gearset onto this hub. I am hoping I will be able to get the gears to mount and line up properly so I can still use the...
SO I was scouring the Fat Chance museum pages and see that '97 is when they went to 1 1/8" steer.
This makes me want to find a ti fat or yo eddy but I was wondering about the difference of the two models.. I think I ultimately would like it to have front shocks for sure.
What one is lighter...
SO I swapped out my stem & bars and love how it feels now. I know it is not 'period correct' but I have a sh!tload of miles and plan on many more.
I see in the wanted section a couple of peeps in search of these. But ............................ do I keep them for sentimental reasons and...
SO I have my old reliable 91 ish wicked with 6 speed 130 mm rear thumb sis index shimano shifters.
I am trying to put some new fancy light weight wheels on it and would love to update it. My rear tire /wheel with cassette or gears weighs 5 lbs. My front was swapped for a lighter road type of...
So here is my dilemma-
I bought a squishy bike and I love the suspension.
I finally bought some pedals and cleaned up my wicked and rode it again and I LOVE it!
So this is where my problem lies... I love the new brakes and the feel of the vanilla compared to the rockshox mag 20.
Is there...
Exactly what I found at my buddies shop. Then we found a nice salsa stem for the retro look, I put on the monkey lite bars that came with my Labruja and I am stoked. It feels great now. Much better riding position..
Now I will ride this thing again and give it the attention it deserves :). I...
I have my wicked not 100% what year but I have a salsa quill stem. I am thinking about trying some riser bars since I like the riding position of my newer bike.
I have seen some of the pics of the pinch type of stem. Is there a good adapter of choice?
Dont worry I will save my original one...

Ok I realize there have been many threads about stickers and even a sticky- but I would like one that looks like the guy on the forum banner on the right crossbones in same color and very small 1 1/2 -2" in size to put on my car...
Does anybody know where to look for that or a sticker company...
SO I am getting really fired up about my wicked and was thinking about a repaint or touchup.
It is black & I sure like some of the other rides I see. I am the original owner and have treated it with care its whole life.
It has been well ridden over the years and is still in awesome shape IMO...
I had the black mavic wheel and deore xt hub. somehow got switched in a tuneup from a buddy who worked at wheelsmiths.
DO I try to find a new one or just get new hub and wheels that match?
if so does anyone have one or know where I should look?
Steve
'90 is vintage wicked...
Hi guys,
New here, but I am the original owner of a well used wicked. I believe it to be around a 90's or 91 ish. It did come with the yellow rounded forks but I opted for the rockshock early on.
I was going to sell it when a trip to the bike shop to purchase a FS specialized for my wife the...
