100% Lets not forget these 30 year old Ti frames will probably stil be rideable in another 30yrs when the cheap’ carbon ones have been recycled 5 times.

Thats 90% of whats important in a bike ride/handling, then aesthetics. Its looks beautiful with 3DV.

Its a harlequin blue green paint job. Quite mesmerising 😵‍💫 in close up but the classic fade is nice too. All turquoise components for its next build and not really period correct as above. I have motolites and CK classic hubs and Cooks RSRs all ready to go on with Ti post and bar/stem combo...

You need ~ 1cm sticking above the seat tube when you cut it up to grab hold of to twist it free, either using a wrench or pliers. In my case the alu post had galled to the Ti seat tube but it just makes it less likely you will ‘leverage’ against the seat tube itself potentially damaging it 🙂

Its a beautiful bike. Love the colour. You could cut and probably save enough of the Syncros 26.4mm seatpost to sell it on for a road bike.

Cut the post off 1cm or so above the seat clamp area ( its not likely to be salvageable and the frame is the valuable bit ). Then either use a long file with a serrated edge to cut two adjacent slots into the alu piece stuck inside the seat tube or a hacksaw blade embedded in a thin piece of...

Always ahead of the game FCC. Wonder how many of the 25 Ti frames projected were actually made in 86 and of course the Ti forks. Would love to see pics of those. 🤔

I have Ti variants from both facilities and love them both. The 94 Ti is a work of art and a stiffer more pure performance orientated ride. The 97 Ti is softer more cruiser like comfort yet still a great handling ride. Again flawless minimal beautiful welds on both. Had Yos from both facilities...
